The Balancing Barn in Suffolk England Opens for Guests Next Month

The ‘balancing barn” is complete and ready to welcome guests from the next month. The building is located in Suffolk, England. The concept of the building was developed last year and the architects decided to take on gravity and seem to have done well. The concept paper which was originally released and publicized even had a swing built in under the barn but better sense prevailed and they have not done it actually.

The house has been clad in elegant silver tiles. The amount of sunlight it can reflect, on a sunny day I think it could be visible from a space craft. Otherwise the execution of the concept released last year has been near perfect. Fifty per cent of the building actually dangles precariously off a slope. It does look scary from the out side but could be absolutely normal from the inside. In fact the view would be enhanced because of the extended design.

The bookings are on online on the website for stay from the next month. The unique building can accommodate eight persons only. Stays of four nights cost £725 ($1,150), which works out to a little below $300 a night. I am sure the experience is going to be unique but there is no harm in being careful.
