Roomlinx Inc. announced that they have entered into a contract with the  Prime Group Inc. to provide its Interactive HD TV (iTV) and Free-to-Guest TV programming for a new, prestigious hotel being developed by an affiliate of The Prime Group in downtown Chicago. Under the contract Roomlinx is supposed to install a total of 638 iTV systems and cover all the 610 rooms of the hotel that is scheduled to open in November 2010.
The property is a historic Chicago landmark and is being converted and transformed by the Prime Group in to a high end building. The lower 12 floors of the building will consist of the new 5-star luxury hotel along with some high end retail space. The upper ten floors of the property will continue to be leased to office tenants, which space was fully renovated as part of the overall project.
The property is of prime importance in terms of its location as well. It is situated in the heart of Chicago’s central business district and  this new luxury hotel is expected to cater to sophisticated, executive business travelers. The Roomlinx system is a premium product for a premium property. It will provide not only state-of-the-art in-room media, but also web-browsing capability, the convenience of a virtual concierge and a complete business center in each guest room.
