A Refitted Tenaz on the Market for $10.3 Million

Michael Ryan, the developer of the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman is selling his luxury sail boat for $10.3million (€8.25 million). This was reported by the international yachting online media. It is a 128 ft (40meter) sailing yacht called Tenaz. It was was made at the Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth in 1996. At its launch it was named Mamamouchi.

Ryan purchased it in 2007 and renamed it and took his family on a round the world sail trip in 2009. Tenaz has since been refitted completely and comprehensively. People in the know and others from the industry say that the yacht is in excellent condition. The mechanics and the infrastructure have been comprehensively refitted and replaced and can match any of the contemporary boat of its size in comfort, luxury and performance.

As per the reports in the Yachting Times the refit included a top to bottom, interior and exterior repaint, refurbishment of the teak decks, general interior re-touching, main engine exhaust rebuild, maintenance and updating of rigging and systems and general electrical and mechanical refurbishment. Tenaz won the Voyager’s Award this May. It can sleep ten guests in a master and three twin cabin configurations. It will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show between 22 and 25 September.
