Emerald Isle Goes Under the Hammer at Lauderdale

J P King Auction Company has announced that the lovely Emerald Isle, a 126 ft Christensen motor yacht will be auctioned at the Lauderdale marina on August 24. It seems the prices for yacht are still under downward pressure due the adverse economic environment. The reserve price has been fixed at $2.85 million by the company. It is note worthy that this yacht was on the market much earlier for $7 million.

The yacht built in 1993 had undergone a comprehensive $2 million retrofit in 2009 including a complete engine overhaul and up gradation of the command system. The tri-deck yacht has four cabins and a sky lounge. The yacht has a full width master suite on the main deck with marble baths with gold waterfall faucets, and LCD flat screen TV/SAT TV/DVD. It is very luxuriously furnished and has all the luxury features including a sub-zero refrigerator in the galley and high-tech navigation equipment.

Bonnie Harvey, the owner is very sentimental about the yacht. He said that it was like home. The auction will take place on Tuesday, August 24 at 11 am at the Lauderdale Marina at 1900, S E 15th Street in Ft. Lauderdale. The company’s website www.jpking.com has all the relevant information and details.

  • Wow, that yacht is beautiful. I like to keep my eye on property auction companies and real estate auction companies but I can’t believe I missed this one!
