Hello Kitty has become a synonym for cuteness. And why not, that mouthless kitten is pretty cute. Cashing in on its popularity, manufacturers have used the cute kitty on almost everything. But this time I must say I was a bit surprised when I heard that a luxury brand is making Hello Kitty ultra luxury water!
First of all this luxury water concept is quite interesting. You have people paying exorbitant sums of money for a bottle of water. But I guess it plays on the marketing that states that if you price something to a certain level, the consumers will start taking high price for good quality. Exousia Luxury Water, Bling H2O, Bling LOve H2O, and Fillico have all dabbled in this field and have done pretty well for themselves.
Now Fillico is hoping to cash in on the popularity of Hello Kitty by bringing out Swarovski encrusted luxury bottled water. These cute and sparkly bottles will come in five colour that stand for different themes: – Red (friendship), Pink (cute), yellow (heartful), green (wish) and lavender (sweet).One bottle comes for $100 and the entire collection will set you back by $500. I am not sure who is the targeted audience for this cause I don’t really see cute 5 year old girls in pigtails having that kind of cash.
