Small & Exclusive Lodge in Solio Reserve by Safari Collection

The Safari Collection has announced the addition of a new property to their portfolio in Kenya. The new property which will be declared open for guests on 1st of August , is located on the Solio Game Reserve. Locationaly you can’t better the Solio Lodge as the property is located between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains.

Tanya and Mikey Carr-Hartley have built the Solio Lodge. They own and operate successfully three Tamimi properties – the Giraffe Manor, the Sasaab and the Sala’s Camp. The new property has been built by Tanya and Mikey Carr-Hartley, the owners and operators of the three Tamimi properties, Giraffe Manor, Sasaab and Sala’s Camp. Solio Lodge has just six rooms. The design incorporates both modern and traditional elements with both thatch roofs and plate glass windows. Each room has a large sitting area with an open fire.

This camp is ideal for those who love Rhinos. Solio Reserve is the most successful Rhino breeding reserve. It already has 74 Black Rhinos and 155 White Rhinos making it the largest concentration of Rhinos anywhere in the world. There are many other species of wildlife in residence in the reserve. With rates starting at $570 per night the small, exclusive and comfortable lodge is expected to do well and will be popular with the wildlife lovers.
