An Animal Lounge at the Frankfurt Airport

Animal lovers out there want their pets to live in the utmost comfort. Travelling however has always been quite problematic for animals. Taking cue from that, Lufthansa has created one of its kind animal lounge at its main hub, the Frankfurt airport. This 4000 square feet lounge is a dream for any animal. It has top notch facilities like veterinary care, feeding facility, shelter facility, and handling.

Be it a polar bear, a tropical fish, or your cute dog, the people at Lufthansa will make sure that they travel in luxury. Kai Peters, General Manager Lufthansa Australia said: “At Lufthansa we believe it is very important to try and minimise the trauma and anxiety that many pets and live animals experience while travelling. Our Animal Lounge provides individual care, professional expertise and an environment designed to ensure ultimate comfort for the 14,000 household pets and 1,500 horses and wild animals that pass through the Animal Lounge annually.”

The animal lounge has small animal boxes that are spacious and climate controlled to make sure that the animals can stretch out and don’t feel too hot or cold. All pets coming to the airport who have to wait for more than two hours in transit will be sent to this facility.
