The IF Mode folding bike not exactly a great bargain at $2,500

The IF Mode folding bike as the name suggests can be folded up into one tiny pack and be kept safely in a corner. You would think that this isn’t the first bike of this kind. But let me tell you that the bikes that you are thinking about usually have small wheels that don’t make the rider feel very safe. But not the If Mode. It rides like a normal full-sized bicycle. Infact it’s wheels are 28-inches.

Due to the single sided hub connection, the wheels can be squeezed together pretty tight and quite easily as well. The designer Mark Sanders says that the bike uses a single-action automatic fold that enables it to all the things in one go, be it collapsing the frame and handlebars to swinging the wheels around. But it weighs 32-pounds (14.7 kg) that isn’t too light.

This bike is aimed at the commuters. But for me the pricing of $2,500 isn’t working. It is way too expensive for a bike, even if it has some extra features. It rather use an old beaten up bike that no one will steal in the first place rather than spend so much on a bike. But if you are interested, then it comes in cream and black colours.
