Rare vintage BMWs to be auctioned off in Dubai

Here is a great opportunity for car collectors. Two cars from the BMW museum reserve will be auctioned at Bonhams inaugural Collectors’ Motor Cars sale to be held at the Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai in the month of October. This opportunity is very unique as it is probably the first time that a car has been put up for sale from the official factory collection.

The first car is a white BMW 3.0 with motorsport stripes on it. It’s aerodynamics are fit for racing, and due to this virtue, this vehicle was named the “Batmobile”. Only 57 models of this particular design were produced around 1975. Only one third of them still exist. It has been estimated that the 3.0 CSL will fetch €130,000–€170,000. The other car is a rare 1979 white BMW M1 that has a very low mileage. This car is also expected to fetch the same price as the other BMW.

Apart from these two BMWs, there are other cars such as a 1993 Italdesign Aztec Barchetta expected to get €80,000–€120,000. But my favourite would have to be a rare 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Shooting Brake. It will hopefully get something between €200,000 to €300,000.
