This question of who would buy a million dollar wine cabinet will be answered in September, when the collector’s item will be sold off. The Antique Wine Company that commissioned these cabinets hopes that it will fetch atleast a million dollars. These cabinets are based on magnificent architectural specimens. The latest four in this series feature the famous chateaux in Bordeaux.
If you thought a wooden cabinet is costing so much then don’t worry as it will also come with 18 bottles of vintage wines such as Château d’Yquem, Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Château Petrus etc. It will also be accompanied by several letters and memorabilia from the Chateau archives belonging to the Lur Saluces era. The other chateaux from this collection are priced at £149,000 each.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the acquisition of Chateau Haut-Brion by Clarence Dillon, a Chateau Haut-Brion cabinet will be showcased for the very first time at the Masterpiece London this June end. The other Chateaus that are in line to be released by the Antique Wine Company are Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour and Château Cheval Blanc. It would be interesting to see who buys them.
