VAIO has become a sought after brand in laptops for those who look for brand value instead of actual functions. Its latest model VAIO P is in line with the overpriced models that preceeded it. The feauture that is supposed to make it over priced this time is that the little laptop has been granted “Remote Keyboard” functionality. Sounds interesting but it is a device we weren’t particularly fond of when we first played with it in PlayStation 3 Wireless Keypad in 2008. Like that device, the VAIO P has a battery life that’s too short and a keyboard that’s uncomfortable to use.
Though the software is not available in the US, its Japanese version is out and it does have many features. VAIO Media Plus offers a simple and intuitive operation. With PMB VAIO edition one can manage photos and videos and browse software to edit them. It has a built in camera with cool frames and avatars which make your pictures quite interesting. The laptop also comes with SKYPE installed in the system.
Evernote is to assist your memory scrapbook. Voice and text and images, is a useful tool to organize information in a variety of store browsing. One can search information on the various facilities and attractions within 3 km radius / software can be found. Apart from all these practical applications, there are also various Help features that enable you to improve your performance. But even these features don’t explain the $800 price tag.
