Al Gore buys a mansion in Montecito

Former Vice President of the United States and famous environmental activist, Al Gore and his wife Tipper have bought a home in Montecito, located in California’s Santa Barbara county. By virtue of this buy, they have joined the elite club which includes names such as Oprah Winfrey and Rob Lowe.

Montecito has become a real estate magnet for the rich and the famous who spend millions on each property. According to the L.A. Times, even Al Gore has spent $8.875 million for a 1.5 acre property. His ocean view home will include a swimming pool, spa and fountains, six fireplaces and nine bathrooms (sounds like a dream doesn’t it). What I might add is that it also happens to have five bedrooms (the man need some rest too from all the lectures he delivers all over the world). Most houses in this area reflect a Mediterranean style. This house is not an exception to that.

This purchase by the “Inconvenient Truth” author makes another addition to his real estate holdings which also include a large mansion in the Belle Meade area of Nashville, Tennessee. The man surely has got great things going for him these days.
