Hamilton Time Player: An Ode to Space Odyssey

Kubrick’s classic 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the most important sci-fi media renditions of the futuristic society. It almost had philosophical undertones for which it still stands as an important movie after all these years. In order to show tribute to this movie, a clock company called Hamilton has launched the Hamilton Time Player which costs $3,000.

It comes with 4 different zones and also 4 labels for New York, Tokyo, Dubai, and the Hamilton logo. It is quite hard to tell time on a time piece like this but it is a piece of art and it should be treated so. You could spend hours trying to tell time on this device and it is paradoxical that you need to spend hours trying to tell time.

It looks absolutely breathtaking and can be a great way of trying to show the world how you value science fiction, and how art can be represented in the most unusual manners when it comes to Kubrick’s classic 2001: A Space Odyssey. Funnily, 2001 was seen as futuristic when the movie was released decades ago, but now 2001 is a decade ago and is quite the past.
