Looking for a new subwoofer that will blow your mind away? We have one that will take care of the minds of your friends too! The forthcoming BeoLab 11 from Bang & Olufsen is such. To the nerdy eye, it would be quite obvious from the very first sight that this subwoofer is gonna be different from the traditional square box in the corner.
For starters, BeoLab 11 consists of two separate speaker cabinets that interestingly face each other, for a better performance, they say. It also contains 6.5 inch drivers. These help introduce an acoustic balance. In other words, the bass generated has minimal vibrations; which in turn means that you can place this wonderful gadget wherever you like. You can even hang it on the wall.
The makers claim that BeoLab 11 will not just give you a more rich sound in the bass area but also in other frequency areas because it takes over smaller loudspeakers’ reproduction of the lower freqeuncies. This subwoofer will be available in North America only by mid-May this year. The price tag would read $2,000.
