Elite Estate: Notorious West End Garners Top Position

If your office is located in the West End of London, you have got one more reason to rejoice! London’s west end has been titled as world’s most expensive office space, yet again. After having lost the title after 2008, it sprang back to the No.1 position, not only that, it also beat places like Paris and Dubai! This is another reason for the ones who have their office in the West End to act pompous!

DTZ’s Global Occupancy Costs Survey reveals that this title aint going anywhere from the West End until at least 2013.The authenticity of this survey is very much apparent as it collects data from 116 business districts in 47 countries worldwide. While Paris and Dubai could not retain their position in the best five, Moscow’s ranking went down to the 36th place from the 11th place. Surprisingly, three of the top five places were from Asia Pacific: Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Bengaluru.

It is also predicted by DTZ that there would be many more places in the list from Asia Pacific in the forth coming years!� “Indeed, the silver lining for tenants actively looking for office space is that they may find rents quickly dropping to levels they cannot resist.” said Karine Woodford, Head of Real Estate Strategy at DTZ in slightly imperfect English.

While West End led the list, places like Zurich (at 8th position), Boston (at 9th) and Frankfurt (at 10th) were the new to enter the top 10.
