Zach Raven is a talented designer who can think out of the box. he has not only designed the Ion Bicycle Helmet for the elderly, but ahs also designed a cool timepiece that forges a chasm between traditional time telling and futuristic technology. In fact, the Horizon Timepiece by Zach Raven is quite playful and fun. It comes with 2 embedded LED ribbons, which display time in hours and minutes. Thanks to a semi-transparent urethane band, the timepiece almost resembles a wrist band. The Horizon almost creates a “face” using the wearer’s wrist and this is perhaps why it is so avant-garde. The LEDs in the watch light up according to the time, and it all becomes quite surreal.
As an example Zach states that “at 6:00, the hour LED would be illuminated at the underside of the wrist, where the minute LED would be illuminated at the top of the wrist; at 3:30, the hour LED would be illuminated on the side of the wrist, and the minute would be illuminated on the underside of the wrist”. It is not yet a product I guess, but you could write to Zach and request for further information.
