Datamancer like to treat us with some cool computer innovations from time to time. We have seen the Steampunk monitor and been floored. But it is really the keyboards that have taken our fancy the most. The Alchemist keyboard was a sure short winner from the glance one and now the company is all set to recreate the same history with the all new beatiful Sojourner keyboard. The geeks, the nerds and the collectors, all of them will be please to soak in the aesthetic exuberance of this artistic yet techie creations.
Brass has been used as the main polishing element here with the artificially tarnished flaunts to impress a weathered look. Then there are the battered keys that have been electroplated in brass. This stands out pretty well against the aged leather faceplate and parchment key inserts.
A very functional piece of art, the Sojourner keyboard works up quite well as a last minute Christmas present. The techie freaks would like the new look added to their PC while those who are not particularly fond of sitting on their comp can use it as an object of display. The price tag reads $1,500.
