Shift Refrigerator Is A Cool Energy Saving Option, Not Though With Kiddos Around

We are anyday game for electronics technology that will help us save energy and hence, the earth. Take the Shift Refrigerator for instance. This one actually minimizes the outflow of cool air. All it does is to ask us to use a smaller compartment in the big fridge on a regular basis. We are talking about a special door where you can store your most used items. The idea is to lessen the number of times the refrigerator door is opened. As a result, cool air does not flow out and warm air does not flow in so often.

Designer Yong-ji Kim has realised that the width of a refrigeartor door determines the electric power consumed by the electronic gadget that is a bare necessity in the times we live in today.

That said, we do get a feeling that Shift Refrigerator might not a true success if kids use it. After all, they are the ones who are totally in love with opening and closing the door of this cool food cabinet. One does always stumble upon that well concealed pack of jello or chocolate! But let’s give it to Kim for coming up with a neat idea like this.
