Red Arrows Gnat Orpheus Turbine Coffee Table, A Bachelor’s Delight

If you are a happy bachelor (not that married guys are unhappy, but this one might not be appreciated by the feminine sex), then we have just the coffe table for you that you’d been looking for a long long time. Dubbed Red Arrows Gnat Orpheus Turbine Coffee Table, this one is the result of 200 hours of love and dedication. After all, it has a polished turbine hub from Bristol Siddley Orpheus engine mounted on a custom made aluminum base.

A little background on that. The hub here comes from the Orpheus turbojet engine of a Red Arrows Gnat aircraft. Wow, now that will be some history to relate to your buddies with pride. Apparently, the engine was scraped in the 1980s but the turbine was salavaged as souvenir due to all its history.

And might we add that being crafted from a high grade Nomonic alloy, this turbine hub looks amazing with the custom base which is made from two 10 mm thick water jet cut aluminum circles that are internally welded to a sectopn of 200 mm polished aluminum tube. Voila, no wonder it looks like a work of art. A 10 mm toughened safety glass makes this coffee table a great addition for even those slightly wild get togethers!
