Dubbed as the ‘Woman, Sweet 10 Diamonds, this CD will drive rich music lovers to the high-end music store to get a copy because it is gorgeous, sleek and carries a price tag that will surely impress your friends. Well, how else will one react to learn that a CD cost $100,000?
The case has been made in pure platinum with 10 2-carat diamonds decorating it. The effort to keep the bling on the CD subtle as well as classy has definitely succeeded.
We hear that this venture is the result of a collaboration between the Japanese jeweler Nagahori and Universal Music to celebrate its 10th commemorate album. Coming to the contents of the CD, well, you will find 18 songs all by female vocalists (we don’t know for sure whether the songs are in Japanese or English). A very wild marketing strategy with a BIG price factor, we doubt if more than a few copies will actually get sold. Probably, this is just their way of entering the Guinness Book of Records.
