Gold Plated Hubsets Mark Phil Wood’s 38th B’day
Californian company Phil Wood & Co. just turned 38 and wants to celebrate in style. For the uninitiated, the brand has an impressive history of manufacturing innovative and durable fitness equipment. So, we were not surprised to hear the launch of a limited run of 3.5 Track hub sets to mark the special occasion.
This collection shall include hub sets in a whole range of colors, including a gold plated version. So far only 100 sets have been put into production and are designed with a 3.5-inch flange and custom slotting. Apparently, there will be 50 silver hub sets ($575/pair), 20 black ($605), 10 red ($655), 5 blue ($655), 5 green ($655), 5 purple ($655) and 5 gold plated versions ($900).
We are sure the other colors will also be very cool but the gold ones are really the ones to look out for. And quite interestingly, the limited edition is exclusively meant for the European market. Each hub set will bear a serial number and will be accompanied by a stainless dog tag carrying the designer’s signature. The hubs will be launched on April fool’s Day.
