The people’s favorite Moet & Chandon brand of champagne has been spotted in many media events lately. Buzz is that after receiving a red carpet treatment at the Golden Globes, the liquor shall go on to enjoy being the exclusive drink at the 81st Annual Academy Awards. By the by, this is the first time there has been an official champagne designation, which, we are guessing, must have coast M&C a hefty sum. But they aren’t complaining, and neither are we!
The M&C reps told that their flagship champagne, M&C White Star will be the main drink for all the premiere evening accompanied by M&C Grand Vintage, Nectar Imperial and Rose Imperial. And by premiere evenings, we mean the Academy Awards Ceremony, the Red Carpet Cocktail Party, the Governor’s Ball, the Foreign Language Film Awards Cocktail Party and the New York Oscar Viewing Party (phew)!
But those of us not attending the glittering celebrations in person should not feel like losers. C’mon there is an Oscars Party Kit up on the Oscars homepage that includes Wolfgang Puck’s recipes and a yummie champagne cocktail with M&C White Star forming the base.
