Boy, and we thought the economic slowdown had zeroed on to the Reliance brothers too. But we were in the wrong. The business rival brothers are still busy trying to outshine one another with expensive presents for their wives. We are sure that you’d remember how Mukesh Ambani, the elder bro, raised many eyebrows when he bought a $52,362,298 worth corporate jet for his wife Nita less than a year ago. Well, now it was time for younger bro Anil to make an impression. And so he did with the super luxury yacht worth $83,784,070 that he got for wife Tina.
Unimaginatively named Tian (combining the first two letters from Tina and Anil), this yacht is made in Genoa, Italy and was a long time dream for Tina which her billionaire hubby finally made a reality. Though much has not been revealed about the superyacht, what we do know is that it is about 34 meters long and cost $47 million to build.
Right now, it is anchored near the Gateway of India with plans to test the waters with the couple brining in the New Year. Touche, romance.
