World’s Most Expensive Home Sells for £80 mn

World’s Most Expensive Home

News is world’s most expensive home finally inked a neat deal when it got sold off for record-breaking £80million. Based in Kensington, South-West London, the proud buyer of this huge five-storey detached house is said to be the Ukrainian entrepreneur and patron Elena Franchuk, a comrade of Sir Elton John. This clean sale has set aside the £67million sale for steel mogul Lakshmi Mittal’s home in Kensington Palace Gardens.

Word is around that the record sale of £80million would soon be smashed by the sale of six-storey house in Belgrave Square in coming weeks, anticipated to fetch £90million. But even the £80 mn deal is quite satisfying as the Victorian villa has been re-erected and renovated at a projected £10 million and is still under-construction. For past 18 months, builders were neck-deep engaged in installing a subversive swimming pool, gym, sauna and cinema. Anticipated to be completed in April, the house houses 10 bedrooms and a protected “panic room”.
