Isla Moda: World’s First Fashion Island Enters the World

Isla Moda

The present picture of island residing over the Dubai’s man-made archipelago called The World is ready to be revamped or rather replaced by the world’s first fashion island. Identified as Isla Moda, the project aims to blend the trends and luxury models to invite the world’s fashion cream and elite gentry by constructing a fashion hotel, an array of themed residential villas, and boutiques. This would be a villa of the world’s most high-flying designers.

Word is around that they would be inviting fashion designers from all across to propose diverse essentials within the island. At present, the names of the participating designers are not disclosed. The luxurious Hotel Moda has a capacity of around 250 rooms and serviced apartments. The first set of villas would be available for sale in Q4 of 2008. The development cost only is anticipated to cross $80 million. The island comes forth not as a symbol of bringing recognition to the country but as an icon of a city of fashion.
