1965 Le Mans Blue Corvette Fetches $704,000 at RM Auction

Le Mans Blue Corvette

At the lately held auction of Al-Wiseman Car collection by RM in Florida, the eye-catching model was the 1965 Corvette cut-away autorama. Equipped with 327ci V8 produced 375 horsepower, a 4-speed manual transmission and 4 wheel disc breaks and a white interior, the Le Mans Blue was exhibited after a final furbishing of its internal accessories.

With a light press of a button, the body is lifted disclosing Corvette’s motor, chassis and suspension. Electric motors, counting crankshaft, pistons, valves, clutch, driveshaft, and position rear axle execute the various utilities of the car. The cut-outs divulge particulars concerning the exhaust system, broadcast, brakes and more. The car was lately discovered at South Africa and generated a sale of $704,000 at RM auction.
