If ever you will be fortunate to have a net worth of $22 billion, what wish list of possessions can you think off? If this seems to be a confusing question to you then here is something you can learn from Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani. With such a spare amount in his bank balance, Mukesh thinks of investing it in building the world’s most expensive home, Antilia.
Designed by Chicago architecture firm Perkins + Will, the job-in-progress of this glass-tower is estimated to be $1 billion and features a health club, multiple “safe” rooms, three-helipads, parking space for 168 vehicles and will hire 600 servants to maintain. Physically speaking, the 27-stories tall edifice is 570 feet tall. Mumbai Mirror reports a separate floor (17 floor) for cars is dedicated for the maintenance of the cars and thus servicing of all his cars would be done at this in-house service centre. It also dedicates entire eighth floor for entertainment needs, which comprises of a mini-theatre holding a seating capacity of 50. Besides top-four floors that are assigned for family living (Mukesh, wife Neeta, three children and Mukesh’s mother Kokilaben), remaining floors are also engaged in some purposeful activity.

Among the pool of bling-bling stuff, here comes another entrant. If I say the phone is studded with gold, platinum, diamond and other precious stones, then I am sure you would choose to skip the further reading. But I have to say the same with small yet worthy differentiation.
Unlike other phones, the creation of this phone is the result of tying-hands between two contemporary brands viz. Softbank Mobile and American jeweler Tiffany. This glittering phone is studded with around 400 diamonds counting 20 carats. It is being said that it is a third-generation (3G) model and can be picked up after dropping $94,000. Counted 15 models are being produced and are anticipated to hit the market by February. Folks, to my utter dismay, the luxury phone will reach only in Japan. So, if you happen to reside in other corner of the world and this phone has won your heart then get one imported once it hit Japan.

A New York-based sculptor, painter, landscape designer and now artist Paula Hayes has charted out the possible inventions in resourceful horticulture and interior decoration with her impressive Teardrop Terrarium.

Her concept follows the presence of plants inside a hand-blown glass making them transferable artworks. The fragile, subtle glass terrariums in organic shapes form the replica of the teardrops, body parts, peanuts, and pears. It demands an investment of one-year period along with a great amount of care so that plants get fully established and starts eying customers. Following the technique of minting-money practiced by cell phones and iPods manufacturers, the computer manufacturers can’t stop but to track the bling road. Seemingly ordinary thought of turning plain computer cases into shiny shiny stuff is now being made possible by Zeus-Computers. This Tokyo-based giant aims at offering integrated machines within the cases that are fits into the category of mobile treasure decked with valuable jewels and metals caking the delightfully crafted body.
Handful of pricey selection include a model baptized “Jupiter” bathed in pure platinum carrying a price tag of whooping $760,000, making you jaw stay open. But if this seems to be too good for you then free feel to eye a reasonably priced piece named “Mars” that would cost you $570,000. Those willing to add their flavor to it can opt for an inferno of inset diamonds carving the zodiac constellation and the Milky Way on the face of the computer case.
The case includes a 1000GB serial ATA hard drive, a 3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E6850-powered machine with a 256MB GeForce 7200GS VGA card, 2048MB of memory, a Blu-ray/HD-DVD optical drive and others. I reckon one cannot doubt the stuffed features inside as its external appeal gives you no reason to drop it.

I think instead of having sundry ordinary kitchen, it’s wise to cherish the presence of conceptual kitchen. And one such production is by Altera Design Studio. Identified as Alight Kitchen, it bagged the 2007 Incheon International Design award. The venture engages with dearth of clean water, food, and resources globally. In such disturbing times, what role has designer to play? It is an inescapable fact that pioneering arrangements and yields need to be formulated for a long-live mode of life. And here pitches in the ALight Kitchen, meeting all your terms and conditions.

Besides reducing the cost-involved and wasting stuff, it makes people realize the amount they are consuming. The sheet-metal packaging takes care of ready-made food and beverages, thereby guiding diet-couscous people about their how much they gulped in at a time. Food and beverages can be preserved in its cooling unit for long-three days. A stylish oven temperate the food and the ideal time and temperature for the packs become visible by reading their barcodes. Counted 4 hollow plates reside on the main dining table and each of them spins on its center-axis enabling you the facility to eat from either side of the plate. The built-in dishwasher preserves water by straining and reusing previous wash water. All dishes are stocked up beneath their own cubicles.

Fortunate photographer Amanda Dutton from Wired got the opportunity to capture the artistic creations by an artificial limb designer and hobbyist robotics engineer, Christopher Conte. The designer mind seldom uses designs or drawings to present his complex biomechanical statuettes. The core of this New York-based machinist resides in giving vent to his imagination.
From where does the concept behind the formations emerge? Nowhere but his mind! He takes a call of his mind to design something and starts making efforts to hunt for the much-needed products. He depends upon the overstock of antique parts with him and thus plays with Legos to experiment with innovative designs.
Stimulated by the convoluted craftsmanship of turn-of-the-century expertise and Japanese bronze work, Conte also twists to obscure sci-fi movies for stimulus. It includes articulated singer insect, lethal injection attack droid prototype, unmanned attack helicopter, external video eyeware apparatus, chronos version 2, carbon-fiber spyder and others.
