Gran Scala

The government of Aragon and an intercontinental association lately inked a deal to construct the biggest vacation and gaming compound ever in the Los Monegros district of Huesca demanding an investment of €17 billion solely from private proposal. The complex would be identified as the “Gran Scala,” and is expected to commence in Q3 of 2008. The International Leisure Development (ILD) consortium claims that the complex would accommodate 70 hotels, 32 casinos, 232 restaurants, around 500 shops, a horse racing track, a golf course, and numerous amusement parks and museums.

Gran Scala

Gran Scala would be ranked to have second-most casinos in the world, after Las Vegas (U.S) and is expected to become the largest traveler destination positioned in the Iberian Peninsula inviting nearly 25 million tourists in 2015, of which 80% would be from overseas. One thing is for sure if these claims turn into reality then Los Monegros, which is till now considered as an ugly-ass desert would become a heavenly place to live in. Spread over 2,025 hectares, its construction will happen in three stages and would depute 65,000 people for the same.
