Kenzo’s House

The conventional fascia of the Parisian dwelling rarely discloses the eye-gazing beauty hidden behind its grave lacquered doors. The courtyard of the edifice gives space to a large four-level arrangement, wholly dipped in teak, which is as astonishing as its proprietor, the renowned name in the Japanese fashion industry. Yes, you got it right-am eyeing designer Kenzo Takada only. Kenzo’s wish was to architect a Japanese house cum garden and here it is this 14,000-square-foot designed together with the innovative pill supplied by an architect partner and friend on the total alive space of the house.

The extraordinary interior-décor along with 230 sq mtrs of porch is a clear indication of the ambition being pleased. While moving upstairs, the descending glass doors along with the one wall of the glowing living room opens onto a verdant Oriental roof backyard. Towards the pond, a Japanese-style marquee is delivered with conventional tatami mats, with one room devoted to the tea observance and other furnished with a low dining tables.

Kenzo went on to share the artistic creation residing in his abode starting from a table that can be altered into a bed. Going further, a chain of columns flank the enclosed pool that is well tagged a as “another of my childhood fantasies.” The elite estate also accommodates a roomy living- study area that can dish up as a dining room, a second terraced roof garden, a library, a professional kitchen that can be used for large parties, sauna, gym and two Jacuzzis. It also contains a hot water and air conditioning system and offer parking for four cars.
