Execution: China’s Most-Expensive Painting

While earlier your eyes and ears were glued to the variety of Chinese artwork i.e. “The Massacre of Chios”, “Jade Seal” and others, its time to celebrate the recognition of China’s most expensive painting—Execution. The painting generated whooping bids and was finally sold for $5.9 million (2.9 million pounds) at Christie’s scheduled auction of Chinese artwork in London.
This oil painting is a creation by a renowned Beijing artist Yue Min Jun, who has been fetching millions of dollars of money for his countless artistic creation viz. “The Pope” got sold $4.37 mn and “The Massacre at Chios” generated $4.1 million. But fortunately none of them could break the deserving gratitude of ‘Execution’.
