Buddha’s statue to be auctioned for $3.5- $4.5 mn
Days back I informed you about the Sotheby’s auction of bronze horse’s head scheduled for 9 October inviting all Chinese. But Buddha’s statue sale scheduled for 21 September in New York is an invitation for Richard Gere along with other Buddhists.
The artwork dating back to 13th Century Tibet is quite interesting. It’s most appealing part is its gilt copper maitreya that is embedded with silver and semiprecious stones. It is expected to generate sales worth $3.5 million to $4.5 million .
