World’s priciest luncheon!

No it’s not a romantic date but a formal lunch with a mentor and a follower sitting across the table. An Indian American investment fund manager Mohnish Pabrai has bid $650,000 in eBay for a three-hour lunch date with none other than billionaire-philanthropist Warren Buffett. California based Pabrai considers Buffet as his ‘Guru’ and this lunch is going to be his way of paying a tribute aka ‘guru dakshina’ to his mentor.
He had been bidding for this exclusive rendezvous since 2003 and proceeds of this will go to a charity.
“My guru is Mr. Buffett and I have only taken from him so far and have never given back. This lunch is the only meaningful way that I can give back to Mr. Buffett. The ‘guru dakshana’ remains mostly unpaid, but I’m excited about having made a dent in the right direction. Having 2-3 hours of Mr. Buffett’s undivided attention is priceless and I can hardly wait to break bread with the messiah,” gushes Pabrai.
