Heartthrob age-old paintings

Here I want to have a small chat with the art-lovers who have an inclination towards painting and take a step ahead in giving vent to their emotions and thoughts through daring paintings.

One such man is Tim Jennings, who has made a bid of $822,000 for the painting available at auction hall in Sydney on 24 May. The late Australian Aboriginal artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye created this painting “Earth Creation” in 1995. The painting will first head to Osaka and Tokyo before retuning to Jennings’ gallery in the central Australian town of Alice Springs.

Lin Onus’s masterpiece ‘Fish and Storm Clouds’ (1994) at display in the exhibition before the Lawson-Menzies auction of Aboriginal fine art began in Sydney on 23 May.

Using the Western and Aboriginal systems of painting along with a magic of colors, Onus, a prominent Yorta Yorta Aborigine has made an effort to present the trance reality stipulated in the Australian landscape.
